2022 marks the 10th anniversary of Astrid & Miyu. Astrid & Miyu was founded in 2012 by Connie Nam in Notting Hill, London and their jewellery takes inspiration from small quirky market stall jewellers Connie came across while travelling. The first shop was opened at Boxpark in Shoreditch, London in 2016, now they have stores across London and Manchester.
Astrid & Miyu create beautiful and unique pieces, just like Adams Cakes so when we were approached about the project, we were thrilled and couldn’t say no!
To celebrate their 10th birthday, we were commissioned to design and decorate a large scale replica cake of their signature Cosmic Dome Hoop Earrings. The gold finish and intricate star & moon engraving, featuring cubic zirconias is perfect for cake design! Using edible gold paint, pale gold fondant and shimmer dusting we created the ultimate edible pair of earrings.
We were delighted to have created such a unique and fun birthday cake for an innovative and special brand like Astrid and Miyu and for such an important milestone in their history.
